Returning the Flavor with Kevin Nurse

I remember catching an episode of Bobby Flay’s show about grilling with everyday chefs on Food Network, and this big guy popped up on the screen. Kevin Nurse towered over Bobby, and brought to the show his delicious dishes inspired by his Jamaican roots, and his own ingredients, including a few Scotch Bonnet peppers that brought more heat than even Bobby could take.

Well, I’ve been searching for sorrell every since I saw him make his signature sorrell cocktail…and now I’ve finally got a chance to catch him on his new YouTube show Returning the Flavor.

I’ll be posting more episodes, but please subscribe and tell a friend to tell a friend lol.

did you find any sorrell? you can find it at any caribbean store and chinese/caribbean fruit & veg store. it’s sold dried, usually in bags near the counter, like those bags of candy for 99 cents. these stores are abundant in brooklyn, bronx and queens.

@asha I haven’t found it yet. The one near my house looks fresh, nothing like the one Kevin used…his looked like it was dried, he brewed it like tea. I’ll check in Brooklyn when I go this weekend.
