It is with a heavy heart that I must post that Jasmina Anema, lost her battle with leukemia on Wednesday, January 27th. This beautiful and courageous 6 year old girl fought long and hard against a very rare and aggressive form of cancer and in the process, her adoptive parents launched a bone marrow drive that brought out thousands of people country-wide. While two matches were eventually found, the leukemia returned recently.

Jasmina’s fight, while over, can not be in vain. There are many other individuals still fighting this awful disease and with your help, maybe we can help change the fate of another person with the donation of life-saving bone marrow. To learn more about how you can donate, please visit DKMS.org.

She has lived her life(although short to us)to the fullest. She won the ultimate prize to be with the Father. God bless her family and friends and all those lives she touched just by being her. May we all utilize our time wisely for it is given with an expiration date unknown to us. She didnt lose, she won. She suffers no more.
