I just love some of the new gems in my neighborhood; I finally ate dinner at Mojo’s Restaurant and I can’t believe I waited so long! Mojo’s cozy ambiance makes for a great date night spot. The warm colors and decor made me forget the cold and rain that awaited me outside of their doors. The live band was on point and the waitstaff was extremely friendly and efficient.
The full menu of Mediterranean-inspired dishes made my mouth water. Our waitress gave us the rundown on the daily specials which included guacamole with plantain chips so of course we had to order it- and it was so well worth the extra endulgance…no regrets! On the table was Grilled Baby Lamb Chops served with garlic potato puree & slow roasted tomato and green beans and Grilled Skirt Steak w/ Chimichurri served with garlic fries and watercress tomato salad – this dish was super-duper delish! Both dishes were perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection. Before Tuesday, I’d never tried a watercress tomato salad; but it was very tasty. The menu items are reasonably priced with appetizers ranging between $9 to $13 and entrees ranging between $14 to $23- you can’t go wrong. There is also a premium cocktail menu and Mojo’s offers a few dessert items including a Strawberry Tirmisu. I’m itching to go back just to try the Harlem Fried Chicken Sliders – I hear they are yummy!
My experience at Mojo’s was very pleasant and I’m sure I’ll be returning in the very near future. Visit Mojo if you’re ever in the area, it’s really Harlem’s latest gem!
With the economy in dire straits even the most fabulous Get ‘Em Girls are holding their purse strings just a little tighter. We are all reevaluating our lifestyles, cutting back where we need to, entertaining at home, and eating out less and less. Read more »
Get em’ girls what up?!! long time no speak, how have you guys been?
It’s true this is a very welcome addition to the neighborhood with (generally)great service and an attentive owner. However the VERY limited menu has remained basically unchanged since they opened. They offer no specials.People are already a bit bored with the selection. At this point I’ve stopped going which is a shame.
