Glamour Magazine Honors the 2009 Women of the Year
Glamour Magazine hosted their annual Women of the Year awards at Carnegie Hall in NYC last night and I must say, the women looked absolutely fabulous on the carpet and accepting their awards. There were so many beautiful, inspiring, and brilliant women taking the podium to accept their honors, including: Rihanna, who looked absolutely gorgeous in a stunning over-the-top gown by Stephane Rolland; Serena “I’d kill for her arms” Williams, in Pamela Rolland; Singer Estelle, Actress Gabourey Sidibe, and Actress Kerry Washington, who looked radiant in an elegant and demure Fendi dress.

Tennis champions, Venus and Serena Williams have found a new sport to take over–professional football. The ladies are set to become part owners of the Miami Dolphins, joining celebrity owners Gloria Estefan and Marc Anthony, who also recently purchased small share of the team.
According to reports, the deal isn’t finalized yet–but is very close to becoming official. Serena Williams spoke about the deal in Toronto, telling reporters “That would be a great opportunity for both of us. You never know. We’ll see what happens.”

Serena Williams, in partnership with the Home Shopping Network, debuted her new line of jewelry, handbags, and clothing in Miami, FL yesterday. The “S2″ or “Signature Statement” line is set to hit HSN on April 30th. With items that range from $29.95 to $100, the line is definitely affordable for most.
Serena recently shared that it has always been one of her dreams to “share gorgeous gifts of fashion and luxury with the world. Off the court, my passion is fashion. Signature Statement is my own line of accessories and fashion, complete from jewelry to dresses.”

This is what I’d call Fit Fab. Tennis star Serena Williams teamed up with Gatorade G2 to choose from five semifinalists (all named Serena) who will appear alongside her in the new G2 “Everday Athlete” campaign. Serena, who is fresh off her 10th Grand Slam Singles Title at the 2009 Australian Open, chose 23-year old Serena Cuevas, to star alongside her for the campaign.
